About Us

The Collective Voice of Scottish Real Estate

Real Estate:Scotland is the voice of the real estate industry in Scotland with the goal of bringing together global and domestic capital, world-leading expertise and forward-thinking policy to drive growth and quality places to work, live and play in Scotland.

As part of an industry body with over 500 member organisations spanning investors, developers, advisers and operators, we represent the full breadth and diversity of the market.

We connect UK and international investors with the insight, networks and opportunities that make Scotland one of the UK’s most attractive markets.

Working closely with the Scottish Government, local authorities and UK and Scottish agencies to promote the Scottish real estate sector as a premier destination for capital. Through direct engagement with ministers, policymakers and advisers, we help shape a regulatory environment that unlocks growth and builds investor confidence.

  1. Provide a stronger, unified voice for Scottish real estate in our interactions with governments and regulators.

  2. Be the go-to hub for the sector, delivering outstanding research, events and networking across the country.

  3. Promote high standards of behaviour, corporate governance and best practice across the sector.

  4. Promote Scotland real estate to domestic and international investors.

  5. Provide thought leadership and drive innovation.

  6. Work with the wider-Real Estate:UK organisation to provide market data to support informed decision making and insights for the Scottish real estate sector.

Real Estate:UK’s activities are based around six key pillars:

  • Thought leadership & innovation

    We’re the go-to organisation bringing together everyone active or entering Scotland's real estate market, setting and shaping the strategic agenda for the sector through forward-looking insight, emerging trends, and intelligence.  

  • Advocacy

    We provide a strong, unified voice for Scottish real estate, working closely with government on policy development, promoting Scotland as a leading real estate investment destination, engaging with international stakeholders and representing the industry in the media. 

  • Research & data

    In partnership with our Real Estate:UK colleagues, we produce authoritative research to support policy recommendations and inform industry discussions.

  • Networking & events

    We deliver a wide programme of events and networking opportunities connecting the diverse membership base, alongside dedicated initiatives to support and engage emerging and diverse talent through a strong next-generation network.

  • Upskilling, education & training

    We are enhancing the effectiveness, professionalism, and diversity of the Scotland's real estate sector and building capability through targeted professional development, knowledge-sharing, and learning opportunities. 

  • Standards & guidance

    We drive continuous improvement across the sector by promoting high standards, sharing best practice and supporting and enhancing efficiency within the Scottish real estate market.

Real Estate:UK

Real Estate:UK is our parent organisation and spearheads our advocacy work in Westminster and UK regions outside of Scotland.

Launched on 1 May 2026, Real Estate:UK brought together three leading property trade associations - the Association of Real Estate Funds, the British Property Federation and the Investment Property Forum.

Founded in 2018, the UK PropTech Association drives digital transformation across the property industry by promoting engagement between PropTech companies, property businesses and government to create an environment where innovation can thrive.

Real Estate:Futures (RE:Futures)

RE:Futures is our dedicated network providing training, support and networking opportunities for early-career property professionals. Through an extensive programme of events, site visits, networking and mentoring, RE:Futures offers members opportunities that support long-term careers in real estate.

Membership is available to junior professionals and open to individuals with 0-15 years’ experience working in the real estate sector. Everyone is welcome - you do not need to work for a corporate member of Real Estate:UK to join.
